Registration and accommodation

How do I alter my registration?

The Conference Innovators team are happy to help with any changes, contact margaret@conference.nz.

What do I do if I need to cancel my registration?

Should you need to cancel your registration, you may reassign your registration to another person. All cancellations and substitutions must be notified in writing to Conference Innovators: margaret@conference.nz. Ensure you check the terms and conditions of registration prior to registering.

What do I do if I need to cancel my registration?

If your partner or guest would like to attend conference sessions, they will need to register for the conference.

Guest tickets are not available for the experiences or breakfast sessions.

Are day registrations available for the conference?

No, day registrations are not available.

Are day registrations available for the conference?

MasterCard, Visa, and American Express are accepted (credit card surcharge applies). Alternatively you can request an invoice and make payment via direct credit.

Is there a group discount?

No, there are no discounts for group bookings.

Can registrations be shared? If I cannot attend, can a colleague attend in my place?

No, registrations cannot be shared. You can transfer your registration to another person by emailing margaret@conference.nz

How can I book hotels and flights?

Conference Innovators has contracted a range of accommodation options which are conveniently located and at special prices. These can be booked at the time of registration. You can see the list of accommodation options and booking links by clicking here. We encourage you to book as soon as possible to take advantage of the offerings as rooms do sell out.

Flight bookings are not part of the registration process. Delegates are required to make their own arrangements for travel, including airport transfers.

Do I need travel insurance?

Travel insurance is recommended. You will need to organise this yourself and be aware of what your policy entails.

Registration inclusions

The conference runs for two days from Monday 24 – Tuesday 25 August.

When is the registration and information desk open?

The registration / help desk will be staffed throughout the conference.

Where do I collect my name badge

Upon arrival at the venue, visit the registration desk to collect your name badge.

What is the dress code for the conference?

The dress code during the conference is whatever makes you comfortable.

I have a dietary requirement. What should I do?

When you register for the conference please indicate your dietary requirements, such as gluten free, vegetarian, lactose intolerance and allergies.

For any requirements that are not covered by the selections available for all delegates, there will be a separate catering station where your meals will be available. The venue and conference staff will be on hand to assist. Please note that individual food preferences cannot be accommodated.

Will there be a conference app?

Yes, the conference app is the main source of information for the conference. You will be sent details on how to download the app two weeks prior.

Is there childcare available at the conference?

No childcare services have been arranged at the conference. Your hotel may offer this service.

Will there be a certificate of attendance?

No, certificates of attendance are not provided.

Will the sessions be recorded or live streamed?

No, sessions will be not recorded or live streamed.

Will speaker presentations be available after the event?

Some speakers may grant permission to share presentations after the conference, on request.

Is the venue accessibility friendly?

Level 1 is accessible via a lift from the ground level. Accessible toilets are located inside bathrooms on the left side of the foyer.

What are the public transport options?

The closest bust stop is on Victoria St, opposite the Casino for routes 29, 95 and B. Bus timetables can be viewed on the Metro website.

Bike racks are located near the roadside on Kilmore Street, either side of the main entrance.

There is a taxi stand on Victoria Street outside the Casino.

Is there car parking at the venue?

The closest public parking is directly across the road.

Is there mobility car parking available at the venue?

There is one accessible parking space available on Kilmore Street in front of the venue and another two are located on Colombo Street on the east side of the building.

Registration inclusions

Contact your airline directly regarding your travel options.

To advise us that you are arriving a day later than expected, contact mandy@conference.nz. If you have booked accommodation during the registration process, contact sarah@conference.nz If you made your own accommodation booking you will need to contact the hotel directly. Note that cancellation fees usually apply for last minute changes.

What will the weather be like during the conference?

Expect lows of 5 degrees and highs of 13 degrees during August. Visit the MetService for current local weather forecasts and weather warnings.

Can I see a list of who is attending?

A list of attendees can be viewed on the conference app. This list will exclude attendees who have requested privacy.
